Arrowhead, at the northern end of Upper Arrow Lake, was a busy port at the end of the railway from Revelstoke.  Passengers and freight destined for the Crowsnest Pass travelled from the mainline at Revelstoke to Arrowhead and then boarded a CPR sternwheeler to journey south to the railway at Robson West near Castlegar.  From there, they travelled east to Nelson. These stenwheelers are the Rossland (centre), Minto (at right) and the freight vessel Trail in the background.  A Richard Trueman photo from about 1900.
