Annual Cranbrook Heritage Awards


The Annual Cranbrook Heritage Awards have been awarded annually since 1977 for such things as careful maintenance of existing heritage buildings, and sympathetic additions or changes to original buildings. An annual plaque is awarded for the year, and a keeper plaque sponosred by Cranbrook Agencies is also given to the owners. Most heritiage buildings, at least so far, in Cranbrook would be built before 1930, however, well-presented cases for others would be considered. Awards are made for the following categories:

  • Residential
  • Commercial / Institutional
  • The Walter Laurie Memorial Award is presented to a person who has contributed to historical and heritage awareness in Cranbrook or its immediate area. {This award is sponsored by the Cranbrook Advisory Committee.)
  • List of Award Recipients (from 1977)
