| 13.6 The Mount Baker Hotel - 1921. The return of growth to the
City after World War I, resulted in this fine brick Hotel being built at
the Corner of Baker and 11th Ave.S . It assumed the mantle of “the
place to stay” from the Cranbrook Hotel 3 blocks to the west. It still
