24.1 The “CPR House” burned shell

24.1 The “CPR House” burned shell circa 1908. This building was apparently a railway residence for temporary employees that was built very early just across the yards from the station, but more to the west. The year of its burning is unclear, but the construction of the Railway-YMCA in 1910, as a joint venture with the city for public use, probably had something to do with its demise. CBK.1990.053.010
