That might have seemed like the culmination of the museum's work, but from its new elevation, Anderson and others could see an even loftier peak to climb. The first step towards that goal began on June 19th, 1993, when the Cranbrook Railway Museum officially became the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel, with plans to move to a new larger site and building.
