The new museum building, of course, is still a few years away. In the meantime, the Trans-Canada Limited and other cars are crowded on to four tracks beside the old Elko station in the heart of Cranbrook, passed on one side by the region's major highway thoroughfare and on the other by an important CPR line connecting with the Union Pacific at the U.S. border.
