An Act to amend the "British Columbia Southern Railway Company's Act, 1894."

WHEREAS the British Columbia Southern Railway Company, hereinafter called the Company, have presented a petition praying that an Act be passed to extend the time for the completion of the Company's undertaking:

And whereas, it is expedient to grant the prayer of the said petition:

Therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:—

1. Section 9 of the " British Columbia Southern Railway Company's Act, 1894," is hereby amended by striking out all the words and figures down to and inclusive of the figures in the fifth line thereof, and inserting in lieu thereof the following words:-"The Company shall construct and equip the Eastern Section on or before the 31st day of December, 1898; the Central Section and the branch line mentioned in sub-section (d) of the preceding section on or before the 31st December, 1899, and the Western Section on or before the 31st December, 1900."



2. This Act may be cited as the "British Columbia Southern Railway Company's Act Amendment Act, 1896".
