The New Twin City-Spokane Service
The new service Twin Cities to Spokane, will be inaugurated June 17, 1907, with trains de Luxe
on fast schedule. The route is Soo Line to Portal, Canadian Pacific Railway via the Crow's Nest
Pass route through the Kootenay to Kingsgate (on the boundary), thence South and West over
the line of the Spokane International to Spokane.
The trains used in this service will be composed
of the finest of day coaches, tourist sleeping cars, dining cars, first class sleepers, compartment
cars and buffet library observations cars that money can buy, even in this age of luxurious rolling
stock. All trains will be solidly vestibuled throughout and will be electric lighted, electric reading
lights in berths being a feature.
